How Much Does Arbitration Cost?
Unlike a judge, an arbitrator is paid by the parties, not by the government. The cost of your arbitrator's service will vary depending on the arbitrator’s hourly rate, the complexity of the case, and the length of the arbitration hearing. Arbitrators will charge the parties for pre-hearing conferences and review of documents, as well as time spent preparing the award. Our arbitrators' rates are posted on their individual profiles.
Simple two party cases that involve settling a monetary dispute between parties can typically be handled in an expedited manner. If expedited handling is appropriate, the arbitration proceeding may involve a brief pre-hearing conference, an arbitration hearing and the publication of an award.
There is no cost to file a claim for arbitration. The costs and fees for arbitrating at The Center for Legal Solutions are detailed in our Rules for Arbitration.
The costs and fees associated with arbitration at The Center for Legal Solutions are favorable to comparable private arbitration services. Costs and fees do not vary based on the amount in controversy or the size of the arbitration award.
