Mediation Style:

Ms. Hall-Dalton helps mediation participants communicate with one another in a respectful, productive manner. Ms. Hall-Dalton enjoys helping people resolve disputes. She is stern and candid with mediation participants when necessary and enjoys a high rate of success in mediation.

Suggested Preparation for Mediation:

Ms. Hall-Dalton prefers that mediation participants not submit documents or pre-mediation briefs before mediation. She suggests that participants simnply be prepared to negotiate from their own best interests when they arrive for the mediation. They may bring with them anything that they feel will enable them to negotiate and anything that they are prepared to share with the other participants.

Successful Results:

Ms. Hall-Dalton mediated an E.E.O. case in which the parties agreed that the respondent would pay to the plaintiff a sum of money based on "loss of the relationship" rather than a sum based on "pain and suffering." By helping the parties to that case see their conflict from a fresh perspective, Ms. Hall-Dalton helped the mediation participants hear one another in a different way. Many times, she believes, it is the ability of the mediator to reframe questions and statements that enable the parties to move away from their postions and to move forward to reconciliation.

Hourly Rate Per Party:
