Laura Austin's Marietta-based law firm focuses primarily on domestic relations and health care law. She has been in private practice since 1979.
Ms. Austin has substantial experience in dispute resolution. For four years, she served as a Magistrate Court Judge in Cobb County, presiding over thousands of civil matters. Since 1994, as part of her private practice, Ms. Austin has mediated over 600 cases. The American Arbitration Association has certified her as an arbitrator and mediator. She has helped individuals and business resolve a wide variety of disputes and enjoys an extremely high success rate.
Ms. Austin also serves as the Risk Manager and General Legal Counsel of a health care company that provides supplemental medical staff throughout the Southeast. Ms. Austin is also an active member of the legal community. She is a member of the Cobb and Cherokee County Bar Associations, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Georgia Mediator's Association. She is on the Board of the General Trial Section of the Georgia Bar Association and a former Vice President of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys.
Laura Austin graduated from Texas Women's University with a degree in Nursing and earned her law degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law.
