Jim Holmes has practiced in the civil litigation arena since 1978. He has actively mediated civil and domestic matters since 1994.
Mr. Holmes enjoys substantial experience with complex commercial disputes, covenants not to compete, business dissolution issues, and corporate shareholder and partnership disputes. He also has substantial experience mediating family law matters, having been recognized in this field by the "Best Lawyers in America" magazine.
Jim Holmes has a B.S. degree from Emory University and J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia. He is a retired Navy Captain, having served 30 years (active and reserve).

He calls upon attorneys and parties to identify and to re-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their positions and to compare those with the risk of proceeding to trial.
