Advanced Mediation Skills Training at Cobb Mediation

Learn to resolve conflict through mediation from the most qualified trainers in Georgia. We offer core courses as well training on specialized topics and advanced skills.

Our Advanced Mediation Skills Training Program is an intensive one-day workshop designed for practicing mediators to sharpen their skills, as well as frequent mediation participants who want to better understand the mediation process. Register for the Advanced Mediation Skills Training Program.

How can a mediator help parties reach a difficult and complex resolution of their dispute? Perhaps the mediator will be called upon to discretely identify personal issues that stand in the way of resolution or suggest new approaches to problems at just the right time.

As participants gain more experience in mediation, mediators may wish to learn advanced techniques to keep participants interested and involved in negotiations. This training will address topics like how to deal with difficult people, disruptions, how to handle difficult negotiations, question asking skills, mediating with representatives at the table, and co-mediating.

If you simply want a better understanding of elder care mediation, you are welcome to take this course without having previously taken General Civil Mediation Training.

This course may be used to satify GODR Continuing Education Requirements.

Please note that the fact that a training program has been approved by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution does not imply that any particular court-annexed or court referred program must or will accept as neutrals those who have completed that program.
