We are proud to introduce Nancy Grossman and Daryl Kidd as the newest members of our Panel of Neutrals. Ms. Grossman is an attorney who worked in Fulton County Superior Court. She specializes in mediating and arbitrating family law matters. Mr. Kidd, Founder of the Cobb County Bar Association's Family Law Section, brings 26 years of legal experience to his mediation and arbitration practice.
Jennifer Matte's Report on Opportunities in the ADR Field in Georgia is a great resource for dispute resolution professionals. Ms. Matte is a Vermont Law School graduate who worked at Cobb Mediation, LLC as part of her externship with Georgia State's Consortium for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.

General Mediation Training Program at Cobb Mediation
Learn to resolve conflict through mediation from the most qualified trainers in Georgia. We offer core courses as well training on specialized topics and advanced skills.
Our General Civil Mediation Training Course is designed for individuals who want to mediate, as well as for those who want to better represent clients in mediation. Participants will learn how to mediate a variety of disputes. This class is designed to meet the basic training requirement for those who want to be registered as a civil mediator in Georgia. This course helps participants develop the core competencies for mediators: - Skill in interacting with others and in helping
others with their problems;
- As guardian of the integrity of the mediation process, the capacity to
maintain the fairness of the process;
- The capacity to assist parties in identifying their needs and
interests, developing options for resolution, and realistically assessing their options for
settlement;
- Protecting the balance of the mediation process;
- Honoring the self-determination of the parties; and

The capacity to guard the confidentiality of the process.

Participants will put their training to use by engaging in numerous role play exercises during the course. Participants will receive constructive feedback on their opening statements and mediation technique from experienced mediators.
Course instructor Andrew Lewis was Deputy Director of the Georgia Supreme Court’s Commission on Dispute Resolution which oversees mediation programs throughout Georgia.
